bff needs you - help us to help the animals
We are currently seeking experienced volunteers for leadership roles and volunteers to dedicate time to one or more of the following committees for fundraisers and for our Petapalooza Adoption Festival scheduled for May 14, 2011.
Fundraising Committee:
Come up with creative fundraising ideas to benefit the event
Solicit donations for fundraisers
Assist at the fundraisers- set up, operations, tear down...etc.
Develop corporate sponsor relationships to donate funds and/or in-kind donations
Follow up with sponsors, vendors involved with the fundraisers
Rescue Groups Committee:
Recruit groups for the Petapalooza event
Prepare information packets for participating groups
Gather information from groups regarding animals that will be in attendance and inquire if any have special needs
Assist groups at the event
Follow up with groups after the event
Logistics Committee : (Coordinator needed for this committee)
Assist with initial set up and tear-down at the end of the event
Assist in creating the layout
of the event and create a map detailing the position of all the participants
Assign booth/kennel space to the rescue/shelter groups and vendors
Clean up after event, ensure all trash and signage is removed
Entertainment & Refreshments Committee:
Create a schedule of events for the Petapalooza Adoption Festival
Secure emcee and review script for event (rent PA system if needed)
Secure all entertainers and demonstrators for the event (groomers, trainers, etc.)
Contact vendors, work with vendors to donation percentage of their proceeds
Collaborate with other committees to make sure everything is organized and on schedule
Responsible for any equipment necessary for event - pick up or delivery, setup, take down and return within given time frame
Media/PR Committee:
Create press releases and PSA's and distribute to local media
Create community calendar information
Send out post-event press releases
Responsible for all advertising for event(s) and oversee production of advertising materials
Responsible for designing, production and delivery of all collateral material for event(s)
Web Site development and maintenance
